Vineyard Sant' Egidio

In 2018, the Fink family acquired a property covering a total of 25,000 m2 in the Montefusco (AV) area in the San’Egidio area. The estate is adjacent to the convent of the Capuchin friars, commonly known as the convent of Sant’Egidio, where Padre Pio from Pietrelcina was hosted for a few months during his theological studies.

The municipality of Montefusco is one of the eight municipalities falling within the specifications of the Greco di Tufo DOCG. The land acquired by the FINK family, located at an altitude of 520 m (asl), was immediately partially planted with vines, creating the first vineyard in 2018, which extends over an area of 12,000 m2, with the Greco di Tufo variety.

In March 2020, after careful landscaping, another Greco di Tufo DOCG vineyard was planted, with a surface area of 8,000 m2. The yield is 60 quintals per hectare, the grapes of which are entirely destined for the production of the Aegidius Greco di Tufo DOCG wine

Since 2021 the vineyards have obtained the “Sant’Egidio” vineyard designation from the Campania Region.
