Indikos

Grown at our original Montemiletto vineyard in Irpinia, Campania, this wine was historically the favoured wine of the Roman empire. This fresh, dry red is deeply concentrated, high in tannin, revealing an abundance of black fruit, tar, and recognisable earthy flavours. If able to resist being drunk, this ancient wine can be long-lived and worth cellaring for that special occasion.

Variegated nose with exuberant notes of small berries and floral scents typical of the variety with background spicy notes of vanilla and green pepper. The palate is structured with an elegant tannic balance and silky sensations. The sip is lively, harmonious, and full. The finish is pleasant, characterised by a refined spiciness.
